The Book Drop Box
The Book Drop Box is a food caddy with lid from Amazon
It's weighted down with builder's sand in a plastic bag (doesn't need much) and placed just to the right of the library.
It does a great job at keeping the water out. We take books out every day.
The Book Drop Box is there for people to return books and to leave donations.
(We ask people to contact us for larger donations so that we can make sure we have room).
The idea was mainly during the pandemic, to be able to sanitise and quarantine donated books before they went in the library.
However, it works so well we are keeping the Book Drop Box as a permanent feature.
