GET ON THE MAP
Once you have your library, you will want to see visitors! Here are a list of suggestions to get those books moving.
Register your library and get your official charter sign. This will get you on the Little Free Library map to help people find you. It also makes your library look like an official project and that you are part of a bigger picture, rather than just a random book box, although they can be popular too.
You will get benefits such as being able to join the private group for stewards on Facebook where you can chat to other stewards and discover all sorts of cool ideas. You cannot join until you have your charter number.
Register your library here.
Register at Little Locator. This is a fairly new website & app.
Get a Facebook page or group and Instagram account.
Give leaflets to your family, friends and neighbours.
Contact local book clubs, U3A groups, care homes, child-minders, nurseries and schools.
Place a poster in your local shop or supermarket with tear-off strips.
Consider having a tub of doggy treats to encourage the local dog walkers to stop and look. In hot weather, provide
a bowl of fresh water for the dogs.
Consider having a geocache nearby or even inside your library.
