The Wish by Nicholas Sparks

Gruesome is not my thing so I decided to take inspiration for a cute Halloween theme from children's books. Here is my take on Hansel & Gretel (with a couple of obligatory spiders included for good measure). I particularly liked the splattered witch!

And, just for today, while I walk down the aisle towards the man of my dreams, while I say ‘I do’, I’ll try to put the secret I know about the family I am marrying into right out of my mind.
Even though that’s one secret that – if I was my soon-to-be mother-in-law – I might just kill to keep… This book is highly rated so definitely worth a read. The story follows a young couple who meet, fall in love and plan to get married. But it's not quite as straight-forward as that. We scored it 3.5/5. Overall we found it to be an easy read with lots of twists albeit we found them mostly predictable. Once you've read it, add a comment below to let us know what you thought of it ... It was sad to hear about the death of the Queen. The library was decorated with white peonies and eucalyptus along with details of her reign as a tribute. Books with a royal theme were included too.
The Summer Reading Challenge proved popular and we had some outstanding entries!
