We were delighted to receive these two lovely mugs as a gorgeous & thoughtful gift! The library's first anniversary was on 21-03-2022 and almost 2,000 books have been shared in its first year. We are very thankful to all those who share their books and love of reading with the community.

The catalogue page has had an overhaul so there is a new web page.
Apologies if you tried to reserve a book and the link didn't work. It's all up and running again. Reserving a book from stock is easy. Just fill in the form on the Reserve A Book page so we know which book you would like and when you will collect it. We'll wrap it and put your first name on and pop it into the library for you on your chosen collection day.
BOOK CLUB FORMAT
There was only a little superficial damage to the children's library which is easily fixed when it stops raining.
We think the books on the top shelf of the adults' library were shaken forwards in the wind. They put enough weight on the door to open it and fall out. The books on the bottom shelf were fine, they didn't even get wet. One of the books - ironically called "Look For Me" - made it as far as Slaidburn Crescent giving an idea of just how windy Storm Franklin was. Here it is, all topped up again ...
A geocache is our latest addition. It's a Mystery cache where you have to solve a small jigsaw puzzle to get the co-ordinates. (It's a Premium cache). If you don't know about Geocaching, we have a book about it - currently in the library. Geocaching is a fun treasure-hunting game, suitable for all ages. that takes you on fun adventures. Southport has lots of hidden geocaches so it's a great place to start your adventure. NB The geocache is NOT inside either of the libraries.
